With the Alfonso Extra Añejo Producción Limitada, he delivers the most personal release in the Selected Tobacco portfolio, joining the ranks of Atabey, Byron, and Bandolero with something that feels deeply rooted in history. This cigar is more than a new line. It is a reflection of a family tradition that stretches back to Cuban cigar making in the 1850s.

The construction begins with intention and patience. A two year aged Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper sets a refined tone, smooth to the touch and elegant in appearance. Beneath it, a three year aged Ecuadorian Connecticut binder adds balance, while a blend of Nicaraguan Ligero and Peruvian fillers, also aged three years, forms the heart of the cigar. What elevates it beyond expectation is the final stage. After rolling, the cigars rest for four more years in aging rooms lined with cedar and French oak, where carefully controlled humidity cycles allow the tobacco to mature in a way that cannot be replicated or hurried.

On the palate, the profile is composed and expressive. It opens with clean, natural tobacco and a creamy texture that immediately signals its age. Cedar aromas drift in, followed by a soft nuttiness reminiscent of roasted peanut. A measured touch of black pepper adds contrast, while a gentle berry sweetness builds beneath the surface.
